Tucked into the hillside at Flagstaff, ÉAÚL looks out over rolling countryside and the Mourne landscape beyond — the kind of view that does most of the work for you. It's built for slowing down: a soak in the hot tub as the light goes, a fire in the woodburner, a lazy morning with nowhere to be.

Two bedrooms, a bright open living space, and a private balcony and garden — ÉAÚL comfortably sleeps four and suits couples, small families, and friends looking to properly switch off.

Flagstaff Viewpoint

The view the cabin is named after — Carlingford Lough, the Cooley Mountains and the Mournes laid out below. Historically used to signal approaching ships into Newry; today it's simply one of the best sunset spots in the area, and it's on your doorstep.

Forest & fairy tale20 min

Kilbroney Park & the Narnia Trail, Rostrevor

A half-mile trail inspired by C.S. Lewis (who summered nearby) winds through the forest via a wardrobe door. Beyond it, the climb to the Cloughmore Stone — a huge granite boulder legend says was hurled here by a giant — rewards with sweeping views over Carlingford Lough.

Slieve Gullion Forest Park

A forest drive and walking trails circling Slieve Gullion, with an adventure playground for kids and panoramic views across the Ring of Gullion — one of Ireland's finest ring dykes.

Tollymore & Silent Valley

Tollymore Forest Park's grand gateways and old bridges will look familiar to Game of Thrones fans; Silent Valley's reservoir and mountain trails are a quieter, wilder counterpart. Both sit at the foot of Slieve Donard for anyone taking on the Mournes' highest peak.

Warrenpoint & Carlingford Lough

A loughside promenade, seafront restaurants, and the small ferry across to Carlingford in the Republic. Kayaking, paddleboarding and even traditional currach rowing are all bookable on the water in summer.

Newry's 19th-century Catholic cathedral and the Newry and Mourne Museum at Bagenal's Castle, plus the flat, scenic Newry Canal towpath for an easy walk or cycle straight from town.
